29. Will my child be asleep during the procedure?

How your child feels depends on the type of sedation used:
-Nitrous oxide (“laughing gas”) — Your child stays awake but feels relaxed. They may act playful or calm and can still respond to questions and instructions.
-Oral or IV sedation — Your child may be lightly or deeply asleep, depending on what the procedure requires.

No matter the type, your child is closely monitored the entire time to ensure their safety and comfort. Our goal is to keep the visit calm and stress-free while completing dental care efficiently.
