1. When should my child first see a dentist?
First dentist visit

Most children should have their first dental visit around age one, or within six months of their first tooth appearing—whichever comes first. It may seem early, but these initial visits are typically short, gentle, and centered on education while helping both you and your child feel at ease.
During this first appointment, we’ll check how your child’s teeth and gums are developing, go over any questions you might have, and provide simple guidance on brushing, teething, and building healthy habits at home. It’s also a great opportunity for your child to become familiar with the dental office in a calm and positive environment.
Getting started early can help stop issues before they start and lays the foundation for a lifetime of healthy smiles.
